After having changed a OSD, you might need to speed up the recovery (please note that can have some impact on the clients).

On a OSD node:

ceph tell 'osd.*' injectargs --osd-max-backfills=2 --osd-recovery-max-active=6

When done, restore the original values (the ones specified in the conf file)
