Using the web portal https://services.rmlab.infn.it/ it's possible to create disposable resources with pre installed software (i.e. root, geant, gromacs, etc) that will last a specific number of days.
After the specified period, the resource will automatically be deleted to reclaim resources.

At the moment there is an hard limit of three resources per user turned on at the same time, if you need to change this quota please let us know.

Once provisioning is completed (might take a few minutes) you'll receive an email like this:
Dear <username>,
the requested resource is now available to use.
You can connect via ssh or remote desktop protocol at <resource name>, using your
INFN Roma2 username and credentials.

Like stated in this email, you might connect via ssh or via remote desktop, using your preferred clients.
Please note that dns might take a while to register the newly create hostname, so if you receive an "unknown host" error just try again in a few minutes.
