After having changed a OSD, you might need to speed up the recovery (please note that can have some impact on the clients).

On a OSD node:


ceph tell 'osd.*' injectargs --osd-max-backfills=2 --osd-recovery-max-active=6


When done, restore the original values (the ones specified in the conf file)


Oppure


[root@ceph-mon-01 ~]# ceph config set osd osd_mclock_profile high_recovery_ops

al termine:


ceph config set osd osd_mclock_profile balanced



ceph config set osd osd_mclock_profile balanced
